The amendment to the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 has been called a game changer. The Act now states that “anyone who gives or causes to give tobacco products to children shall be punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years and shall also be liable to a fine which may extend up to Rs.1 lakh”. …
