Burdwan University BA LLB Exam Overview

University was formed on 15th June, 1960. It provides five-year LLB course with an exam at the end of each year known as Preliminary, Intermediate and Final Exams. The LLB is a law course degree. This is a profession where one must have a brilliant communication skill and presentation skill.

Every year the University Of Burdwan, West Bengal, invites applications for admission into 5-year LLB course.

Eligibility for Burdwan University BA LLB Exam

Candidate shall have to pass the Higher Secondary Examination under (10+2) pattern or its equivalent examination securing not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.

Age Limit – The maximum age of a candidate, seeking admission into 5-Year B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) Course, shall not exceed 20 (twenty) years on the 1st of July in the relevant year in case of general category and 22 (twenty two) years in case of SC, ST & OBC applicants.

Selection Procedure of Burdwan University BA LLB Exam

• Admission Test shall be of 100 marks consisting of English & General Knowledge.
• The selection for admission to the course shall be made strictly on the basis of performance of the eligible applicants at the written admission test to be conducted by university.
• For selection a applicant has to secure the following minimum qualifying marks in the admission test: 20 for General Category applicants and 18 for SC/ST/OBC-A and OBC-B Category applicants.
• The rank of the candidates will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test; in case of the uniform score of the candidates in the written test, preference will be given to the candidates having Honours Degree than Pass Graduates.
