Eligibility Criteria (2025)
Educational Qualification
- Must possess a Law degree from a recognized university or institution.
- Must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocate Act.
Language Requirement
- Ability to read, write, and speak Bengali is mandatory.
- Exemptions: candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali or who belong to certain exempted hill areas of West Bengal.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 23 years
- Maximum: 35 years
Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST candidates: up to 5 years
- OBC-A/OBC-B candidates: up to 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): up to 10 years
Other Requirements
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Good character and suitability for government service as determined by the appointing authority.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released the Judiciary Exam 2025 notification to recruit 108 Civil Judge (Junior Division) posts. The recruitment combines Advt. No. 19/2023 and Advt. No. 9/2024.
