GROUP- A : CONSTITUTION OF INDIA

ANSWER ANY 5 QUESTIONS:-

1. (a) Why is the Constitution of India called the’ Living Law’ ?
(b) What are the basic structures of the Constitution of India?

2. Write briefly on the scope and limitations of Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India.

3. Write short notes on:
(a) Doctrine of Pleasure.
(b) Doctrine of Eclipse.

4. In what cases does joint silting of both the houses take place? Discuss briefly the special procedure in respect to Money Bills.

5. Write a critical assessment on the Constitutional protections of Civil Servants under Article 311 with the help of judicial decisions.

6. (a) What are the effects of proclamation of Emergency?
(b) Can Article 19 be suspended during Emergency?

7. Article 51(A) is confined to’ citizens’ unlike some of the Articles relating to Fundamental Rights (e.g Article 21) which extend to all persons. Comment.
