Code of Conduct – Our Expectations

At Delhi Law Academy, we focus on you – our students. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible education and give you all the essentials needed to succeed in whichever exam you are planning to face.

To succeed in our mission, we find it advantageous to lay out our expectations and assurances beforehand. This is so that you, our student, are aware of what the classroom experience will be like, and your time is saved to that extent. At the same time,

Our Teaching Methodology and Pedagogy

  • We do not believe in either dictation or rote learning at Delhi Law Academy, as that is not how competent legislators and eminent jurists are created. We will be providing printed notes of all topics covered in the classroom. However, students are advised to actively take notes during classes, as this aids understanding and is very important for retention.
  • We also believe that Law is learned through discussion, and cannot be taught as a one-way stream of lecturing from the instructor o the student. Hence, we actively encourage asking doubts during the classroom sessions. For this purpose, 10 minutes of each class will be set aside. This is further aided by our rational batch size, due to which the instructor can easily see and directly speak to each and every student in the class. At the same time, we expect your understanding and cooperation when the instructor decides to move on to the next doubt or topic, as this will be for the larger benefit of the class.
  • After a significant amount of theory portion is covered, we will commence conducting mock tests, which would include answer-writing practice as well.

Classroom Rules and Regulations

  • Fees once paid, are neither refundable nor adjustable under any circumstances whatsoever.
  • Please be on time for each class. We understand that traffic and schedules can sometimes cause delays, hence we allow a margin of 15 minutes after the class starts. However, after this time, further entry will not be allowed and the student will be marked absent for that particular class.
  • Attendance will be taken for each class by electronic means via student ID Card which will be issued at the time of registration. Hence, students are requested to carry their ID card with them for each class.
  • Usage of mobile phones, eating, drinking or any other activities disruptive to the classroom atmosphere are strictly disallowed.
  • Audio and/or video recording in the classroom are strictly disallowed.
  • The student would need to provide us a valid telephone number and email ID at the time of admission, as all administrative communications to the student would be by email or SMS.
